The vision for our blog was to share our personal stories, experiences, and events in our new life’s journey when we “retired” from our hospital careers in 2014. “Retired” is really only an artificial figure of speech, as we have never really retired in the traditional sense. We have continued to work and contribute and look forward to continuing to do so for as long as we can. At that time, however, we were grateful to have the opportunity to tell the story of our life transition to a different land, culture and language in beautiful Costa Rica. There is a post on this site detailing that whole adventure that we hope you will enjoy. Although our journey at that time focused on our new Costa Rica home and vicinity, the future of this new blog will not only be limited to just those stories. Since our return to the U.S. from Costa Rica, we plan to encompass other features about our personal story, how we got here and why, how we continue to prepare for new transitions, new adventures, the obvious challenges of doing so, and the like. This new site begins with a 3 month circling of the U.S. adventure in which we plan to share travel experience highlights, and other fun stuff we hope our readers will enjoy!
