On to Wiegenstein homestead in Mesa, AZ
We anticipated this journey to be an easier drive…. were we surprised! As we approached the hills east of San Diego, we glanced at the map and noticed that we had 2 huge passes over 4000 to climb from sea level. Another brutal few hours of slow and stressful climbing. When we reached the valley, there was no happier moment! From there, the drive was fine into Mesa.
Our journey to Mesa, AZ was to pay a few day visit with our Wiegenstein family in Mesa. We always look forward to our time with Debbie and Mark and their family. They live in a beautiful and unique Mediterranean style home that has a very eclectic and welcoming atmosphere. Coco absolutely loves it here and so do we. The Wiegenstein’s are so welcoming, generous and treat us to the most amazing meals. Deb is an excellent cook and gracious hostess – we are capping off our visit with her delicious home made fish tacos!
This visit we have noticed an increasing number of coyotes very close to the home, so Coco is limited to being on a leash all the time.
Thankfully we were also able to get together with all of Mark and Debbie’s kids and grandkids for a dinner out at Oregano’s in Mesa.
